High street fashion brands are still failing to pay their overseas workers a living wage - despite many promising to do so.

A report published two days before the start of London fashion week on Sunday accuses the £36 billion industry of only just starting to 'dabble' with improving the 'paltry' pay of those working for its suppliers.

None of the 30 high street brands surveyed in the report is paying its workers a living wage and only 10 get modest credit for their work.

Of those only Gap and Monsoon Accessorise are praised for having clear plans to improve matters beyond pilot projects.

Marks & Spencer, New Look and Next have initiatives with potential for change, while Sainsbury's, Asda, Primark, Tesco and the Arcadia group, which includes Topshop and Miss Selfridge, claim to have plans but lack concrete information.

Other labels including Levi Strauss, Burberry, French Connection and Matalan are criticised for having done 'no work to speak of' on living wages. Seven others such as BHS and Peacocks are said not to have replied.

Published by the anti-sweatshop coalition , the investigation follows exposes of alleged sweatshop conditions, particularly among suppliers in Bangladesh and India.

It says garment workers in other countries including Turkey and Morocco and in eastern Europe are also not getting a living wage, The Guardian reports.

'The people who make our clothes live in poverty, usually earning half of what they need to meet their basic needs and those of their families,' said the report's author Martin Hearson.

'And 10 years since the bulk of the industry signed up to the principle that all workers should earn living wages, nothing has been done to make that principle a reality.'

They starred together in , but is now dating her model co-star, George Craig?

The pair were spotted on a theatre date this week, watching the highly-acclaimed War Horse at the New London Theatre in Covent Garden.

And Craig, who is a musician in band One Night Only, was clearly excited about the evening - earlier in the day he took to his Twitter account to write, 'Heading to London this afternoon, going to the theatre tonight with a wonderful lady.'

As stars of Burberry's stylish campaign, the pair first met as they struck a pose, but Ms Watson has since started in the video for Craig's latest single, Say You Don't Want It.

Get a sneak-peek of her on the set of the music video below...

Has swapped her broomstick for a Burberry handbag? The Harry Potter star has reportedly been snapped up by the British luxury label to front its latest ad campaign.

According to the , the actress signed a six-figure deal to be the face of the Burberry autumn/winter '09 campaign, and was photographed last weekend in London.

The move would be an unsurprising one for the budding fashionista. She's become a regular on the front rows at London and Paris fashion weeks, and has a well-known penchant for high end labels, such as Chanel, and naturally, Burberry Prorsum.

So far, Burberry has been reluctant to confirm reports, stating 'The campaign is not yet finalised and we won't release any information until around the time of the official launch in June.'

Watson turned 19-years-old this week and is currently filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, the penultimate film in the wizarding franchise.

’ love life has us very confused, his rumoured girlfriends change on an almost a daily basis with the latest claims suggesting he’s been getting close to .

The Sun reports the singer and TV presenter spent all of Monday night flirting as they celebrated their mutual friend, ’s 22nd birthday. This is an ironic twist to the romantic tale considering the Pixie was the victim of death threats after being photographed with Styles.

Fuel was added to the Alexa and Harry rumours when they emerged from the Groucho Club in the early hours of Tuesday morning together.

Pixie’s celebrations begun at a karaoke bar but the group moved on to the celebrity hang out in Soho to carry on the party. This is where onlookers witnessed Harry and Alexa engage in some ‘flirting’. Oh-er!

The news comes less then a week after he was and just three days after he’s allegedly flirted with Cara Delevingne as he sat on the front row of the Burberry show she catwalked for. That’s a lot of reported romances in one week for the One Direction star!

At just 18, Harry’s penchant for older women has been widely documented following his relationship with Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, 32 and DJ Lucy Horobin, 32. With this in mind, the ten-year age gap between him and Alexa may just be the secret to romantic success.

We won’t hold our breath though, no doubt by the weekend Harry will be linked to a new lovely lady…

What do you think of and reportedly getting close? Would they make a good couple? Is it somewhat ridiculous how the singer is linked to a new woman almost every day? Have your say below.

joined a group of school children on their camping trip to Kent this weekend and opened up to them about what it's really like to be part of the Royal Family.

The took part in the outdoor adventure at Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Wrotham, Kent, to show her support for ARK Schools, a charity which helps give children from deprived backgrounds the opportunity to venture into the countryside and develop their confidence and teamwork skills.

Tigerlily Smith, 8, one of the children taking part, said that the was 'lovely and very, very pretty,' before adding: 'We asked how it felt to be a princess and she said it was very nice, she said she got to visit lots of countries but hadn’t seen as many as William. She said William was very sweet and kind and spoiled her.’

When another child asked her what her job was like, she replied: 'It’s very busy and great fun but I am very well looked after.’

Taking a break from her usual chic dresses, opted for Zara jeans, Burberry shirt, a waterproof waistcoat by Really Wild and wellies from Le Chameau as she wondered through the woods with the group of 28 youngsters, aged eight and nine.

?

's influence on fashion is showing no signs of fading as it's been revealed that sales of the Le Chameau wellies the Duchess wore on a recent charity camping trip have risen substantially.

Ever since was photographed wearing the £300 Le Chameau Vierzonard wellingtons at the Expanding Horizons event in Kent, sales of the practical footwear have sky-rocketed.

Managing director of Wellie-web.co.uk Giles Palmer told The Telegraph that his company has experienced an increase of 32 per cent.

He said: 'We have very much seen a boost in our sales, which are up by 32 per cent.

'Sales in the wellies have also increased by 56 per cent year-on-year.

'We've also been inundated with enquiries for the boot she wears. They're very good boots and she must certainly know her wellies.

'If wears a product, everyone wants to get hold of it.'

After making her red carpet debut with beau Ned Rocknroll at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, the actress' new relationship seems to be going from strength-to-strength.

Following on from the excitement of picking up the award for Best Actress in a miniseries for her role in Mildred Pierce, Kate, 36, and Ned, 33, looked extremely loved-up as they arrived at LAX airport to catch their returning flight to London.

Guests at Kate's table during Sunday evening’s Golden Globes noted that Kate and Sir Richard Branson’s nephew, Ned, seemed very ‘loved-up’ and the pair were seen to publicly embrace and kiss when Kate’s award win was announced.

This is her first serious relationship since splitting with film director Sam Mendes - with whom she has a son called Joe Alfie - in 2010 after seven years of marriage.

Before meeting Rocknroll, Kate briefly dated the gorgeous Burberry model Louis Dowler.

Kate’s first marriage to assistant director Jim Threapleton produced Kate’s first child, Mia Honey, but ended in divorce after just three years.

Let's hope this one's a keeper!

?

Hollywood starlet and Burberry boy Louis Dowler have reportedly gone their separate ways, after four months of dating.

The pair first hooked up back in July this year - after split from husband Sam Mendes - and soon became smitten.

The hot couple were rumoured to have been inseparable over the summer, jetting between cities to spend precious time together.

But now it’s thought the beautiful twosome have gone their separate ways, for good, so can ‘concentrate on her career’.

The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly ‘very grateful’ to the Brit-born model, but has decided it is time to move on.

‘Louis was just what Kate needed after her split from Sam and they had a wonderful time which helped her move on,’ one friend revealed of the split.

What are your thoughts on and Louis’ split? Let us know in the comments box below.

?

has reportedly struck up a 'close friendship' with British model Louis Dowler, after separating from her husband Sam Mendes.

The pair were said to have been introduced at a friend’s dinner party, and have been on 'lots of dates', the reports.

In fact the pair are so smitten, rumours suggest they have become 'inseparable' in recent weeks.

Louis – who is 10 years Kate’s junior - has modeled for Burberry, Paco Rabanne and Paul Smith.

But despite a glittering career, friends say he’s very down to earth. 'He's a good looking guy and gets lots of attention when he's out and about - but he's not your typical model. Not at all big-headed,’ one told the

And it seems and Louis have quietly been going on dates to get to know each other.

'They've been on lots of dates and get on really well. It's early days for them but they enjoy each other's company,' one insider revealed.

'Louis has a good sense of humour and really is a lovely guy. He loves to surf and he's really quite engaging and very down-to-earth.'

But with based in New York, and currently shooting in Rome, and Louis based in London, the pair have been juggling their diaries in an effort to meet up.

And it seems they are keen to keep their relationship relatively quiet for now.

'They have been desperate to keep the relationship under wraps so they've been a bit low-key so far,' the source added.

Would you like to see settle down again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.

Having only just revealed her new beau to the world last week, was spotted looking loved-up and happy with her model man Louis Dowler in Madrid.

The pair were snapped enjoying a romantic stroll through Spain's Capital city, holding hands and smiling.

With Kate casual in jeans, blazer and sunnies, the new couple were indulging in a spot of sightseeing during their break, and were accompanied by a Spanish translator.

Kate and Brit model Louis made their big public debut just last week at the San Sebastian Film Festival, walking the red carpet together and posing affectionately for photographers.

Their fledgling relationship follows Kate's sad , Sam Mendes, which was officially announced back in March.

Ahhh, we do love a budding romance...

?

has been off the radar for a while, and how we've missed that flawless skin and those perfect cheek bones.

Last night the actress made a welcome return to the public eye on a night out with her boyfriend, James Righton.

The couple first hit the Belvedere Presents Jean-Philippe Rio-Py party at the Box club in London, where they joined other famous faces including the handsome Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey.

After a spot of mingling, they joined some other friends for dinner at La Bodega Negra restaurant in Soho before leaving at midnight and getting a cab home.

The 27-year-old was dressed down in a simple black jumper, oversized coat and baggy grey trousers. It's a marked difference from the last time we saw her looking uber-glam and wearing a stunning back in January.

Keira is currently filming Anna Karenina which also stars Jude Law, Matthew Macfadyen, Aaron Johnson and Kelly Macdonald.

?

The evening may have been all about her man, but that's no excuse for this drab example of red carpet dressing from the usually impeccable .

As firm fans of the British starlet's typically feminine style, we couldn't believe our eyes when pics of the Cheri premiere landed in our inboxes this morning.

Out to support her beau, Rupert Friend, who stars in the film alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, Keira may not have been the belle of the ball but this look is simply unforgivable.

So, sadly we can see what she was trying to do. Tailored suits have become a red carpet favourite - think, and Penelope Cruz at the pre-Oscars lunch – but where these starlets have succeeded, opting for sharp monochromatic colour, and feminine cuts, Keira, sadly, was just off the mark.

The drab taupe hue, teamed with an unflattering high neckline just doesn't work to her advantage, and though we applaud her attempt at the harem, it simply swamps her petite frame.

With the Oscars looming, let's just hope she's got her best dresses on hold! Better luck next time Keira!

?Skin: Each night I take off my makeup with Bioderma Gel. The makeup artist on one of my first modelling shoots recommended it and I have used it ever since.

Nails: I love bright colours on my nails and when I get a day off I relax by giving myself a manicure.

Spa Tip Off: There’s an amazing girls only spa in Tel Aviv called Kula that I go to with my friends. They have champagne and strawberries before the treatments!

Makeup: I love everything from Benefit and I use Lancome Hypnose mascara. My cheeks are always pink so I never have to use blusher.

Skin: Im half British, half Israeli and my grandmother lives Eastbourne so whenever I visit her I make sure I go into Boots to get Soap & Glory Scrub Actually and The Righteous Butter Body Lotion – the retro packaging makes me smile!

Fragrance: I can’t seem to find my signature scent but right now I’m switching between Burberry Body and Dolce & Gabanna The One.

Model Tip: When you paint your nails, leave the sides unpainted to make your nails look longer and you fingers slimmer.

Biggest Beauty Faux Pas: I used to have hair down to my bum but it took ages to comb so I cut it all off to 5cm long. Huge mistake!?

has released a teaser clip for her longest video yet - fifth single from the Born This Way album, Marry The Night.

The You & I singer posted the two minute prelude on Twitter immediately after her performance at Children In Need Rocks concert in Manchester last night.

tweeted, 'This will be the longest video I've released to date. The beginning of the story I never told you.'

The eerie video shows the songstress in a seemingly unconscious state, being pushed around on a medical trolley by two nurses in what looks like a hospital or a medical asylum.

There's no music in the teaser, but instead the video begins with a brunette narrating a monologue over the top of the clip.

In a peculiar voice says, 'I don't want to see things exactly as they happened. It's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully the lie of it all is much more honest, because I invented it.

'Clinical psychology tells us arguably that trauma is the ultimate killer. Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics. They can be lost forever.'

But of course it wouldn't be a video without a reference to fashion. goes on to say, 'Those nurses are wearing next season Calvin Klein and so am I. And the shoes – custom Giuseppe Zanotti.'

And making a spring/summer 2012 fashion prediction the pop diva says, ‘I also believe mint will be very big in fashion next spring.’

The teaser closes with the two nurses pushing through a creepy looking room, and leaving fans to wonder what's next.

While the release date for the video is still unknown, the singer promised fan: 'The full prelude is 7 min 33 seconds & 15 frames.'

Last month, Gaga was spotted shooting the video in various locations throughout New York, with the song itself being a tribute to the big apple, her hometown.

Watch the video teaser below and tell us what you think...

Designers in Milan this week are borrowing from a vast library of references and inspirations. The result? No clear set trends for the coming season. Yes, we've seen quite a few similar shapes and some beautiful ideas, however, aesthetics as such are varying quite distinctively from label to label, catwalk to catwalk; and, instead of must-wear trends, there's a style, print and cut to suit everyone, no matter how you usually like to dress.

One universally popular idea, however, is the statement shoe. Of those, we've seen plenty and, in this arena at least, all designers are in agreement: flats, most certainly, are out and towering heels very much in.

The favoured shape of the statement shoe this season features a sharp stiletto heel and stacked platform toe, displayed to perfection at , Bally and Jil Sander, although wedges have also been popular, featuring at and in fabulous patent brights and with amazing sculpted heels at and Gianfranco Ferré.

Colour and print vary widely, from fierce black animal skin versions to Bally's pretty floral ones, but one thing's for sure, they're all very, very high.

And nowhere have the heels been higher than at the show last night. Crafted from dyed python skin and featuring in-built tiny sockettes, tied at the heel with ribbon, the heels were so high that at least one model stumbled as she made her way around the fish-embossed catwalk and another suffered a complete wipe-out.

Thankfully, by the time these works of art make their way into stores, expect to see a slightly less death-defying heel height on offer, albeit one that still requires you take taxis everywhere you wear them.

Maybe it's finally time to retire the ballet pump.

It's been an action-packed - look back at some of the hottest shows on the schedule here.

spring/summer 2010: Returning to the capital in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of London Fashion Week, Burberry didn't fail to impress, with signature British chic designs, and an A-list packed front row.

spring/summer 2010: Despite her looming Broadway debut, Sienna Miller was back at London Fashion Week to stand alongside sister Savannah, as they presented their spring/summer 2010 Twenty8Twelve collection to the world's fashionistas.

spring/summer 2010: Proving its not just about the big names, high street favourite Topshop proved one of the hottest tickets of the week.

spring/summer 2010:The grand dame of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood brought politics to the style scene yet again, this time pushing her latest environmental plight. Look out for the frogs!

Matthew Williamson spring/summer 2010: Another returning home-grown style star, Matthew Williamson presented his latest collection in the capital, after seasons of showing in New York.

?Burberry front row at London Fashion Week

Wow - look at that line-up! Attracting the starriest crowd of the week, was all about the A-list, with Mary-Kate Olsen, Kate Hudson, Kristen Stewart, Claire Danes and Mia Wasikowska taking their seats for the highest celebrity count of London Fashion Week. (23 February 2010)

?Kate Bosworth at Burberry Prorsum

Fashion fans, prepare to swoon. We could gush over the flawlessness that is Kate Bosworth all day, but suffice to say, we love everything about her Burberry front row look - from the cropped jacket and padded boots, to the uber-sexy studded skirt. We want more!

?Alexa Chung at Burberry

London?s resident fashionista may have temporarily moved across the pond, but she was still representing the best of British at this season?s London Fashion Week. Alexa Chung arrived at the Burberry show in a sweet khaki dress, camel booties and studded bag.

?

Yes, fashion fans, it really is that time of year again, as kicked off this morning for the spring/summer 2013 season.

In what is set to be another storming fashion week, the bumper schedule of must-see shows and glitzy parties looks certain to continue the feel-good factor in the British capital following the success of London's Olympic and Paralympic Games.

But which shows should you be looking out for? Which parties will be wall-to-wall A-list guests? And what can we expect to be the defining moments of LFW spring/summer 2013?

Design duo Antoni & Alison kicked things off with a show at the official showspace at Somerset House this morning, whilst tomorrow New York-based label Rag & Bone will make its LFW debut, which is surely going to be the hottest ticket in town this weekend.

Founders of the brand, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, are British and the London catwalk show follows on from the opening of the label's first European flagship store on Sloane Square in July. What's more, Rag & Bone tapped Londoner for its first ever for autumn/winter 2012, so we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for La Moss on the front row.

London, one of the Middleton sisters' favourite labels, is also on the Saturday schedule, but while the Duchess of Cambridge is on a Diamond Jubilee tour with husband Prince William in Malaysia, could be free and able to attend.

Sunday will see return to show on home turf after five seasons in New York, as well as the first Topshop Unique show under the guidance of new creative director Kate Phelan. We can't wait to see what she and Topshop have in store for us, but there's good news even if you're not lucky enough to get a ticket in the post. Not only can you watch the show live on , but eager shoppers will be able to from the collection a mere eight weeks later. The high street giant has also teamed up with Facebook to allow fashion fans to 'customise' pieces from the show online, take pics of their favourite looks and post photos to an array of social media platforms. Genius!

Fashion big hitters and will show on Monday and Tuesday respectively. We expect the upcoming Burbs show to attract a typically star-studded front row and be the week's most high-tech production (who can forget last season's rainy finale?!), whilst the latter is set to be a collection jam-packed with dreamy, romantic pieces, if the label's just-released water-colour teaser video is anything to go by (see below).

Other highlights are sure to include man-of-the-moment show on Monday, as well as several after-hours events including milliner Philip Treacy's post-show bash (we've heard rumours of several musical icons attending), and parties dotted across town hosted by the likes of Kenzo, Vivienne Westwood and Topshop.

Phew, we're exhausted just thinking about it! Luckily, the Marie Claire fashion team are being ferried about by the lovely folk at - so we can wear our most fabulous heels after all. Hurrah!

After months of our favourite Hollywood starlets sporting the J brand ‘Houlihan', Current Elliot are giving us their chic new take on the skinny cargo…

As seen on winter catwalks galore (including our favourite, Burberry) the military look is one of the new season’s biggest trends – so anything cargo, functional and army green is on our wish list.

Luckily for us, Current Elliott have created the perfect on-trend buy - a cross between skinny leggings and military pants, this new style has a utilitarian feel but with a slick fit.

Team with a slouchy white tee and gladiators now. Add a chunky knit for the chilly evenings..

September's London Fashion Week looks set to be the best ever, with not only to the capital's catwalks, but as well.

The designer announced today that he will show his spring/summer '10 collection in London, as part of the LFW and British Fashion Council's 25th anniversary celebrations.

The move is a departure for the designer, who has been showing in New York for seasons, and last graced London Fashion Week back in September 2007, when he celebrated the 10th anniversary of his label with a home town show.

Commenting on the news, Williamson said, 'We were so impressed with the momentum that's building and the BFC's plans to mark the anniversary that we decided to show in London. It's a landmark season for London Fashion Week and we want to join in the celebrations.'

London Fashion Week runs from 18th to 22nd September. With both Burberry and Williamson back, we can't wait to see if other Brit designers follow their lead.
